You used to have anxiety till you found the perfect remedy you've got that bottle you adore life no longer such a bore poppin, poppin' pills at night poppin', poppin' pills at night takes a pharmacy to feel alright poppin' poppin' pills at night poppin' poppin' pills changin' changin' how you feel Benzodiazapene floats you into a dream can't remember what you said waking up in some strange bed poppin' poppin' pills at night takes a pharmacy to feel right Poppin' poppin' pills changin' changin' how you feel Too much hydrocodene affecting you something mean your skin is starting to sweat your spine feels so wet poppin' poppin' pills at night 100 milligrams right? Poppin' poppin' pills changin' changin' how you feel I'm gonna tell a tale of two Pumpernickels. There's Johnny Pumpernickel, Johnny Pumpernickel started with pills at night, and ended up taking pills in the morning. Johnny's Mama Linda started with pills in the morning and ended up with pills at night. Johnny likes to go out and party on the weekends. Johnny is an all A honor student, his parents aren't worried about a thing he does. But now, Johnny has encountered a lil' thing we like call oxycontin, it make him float. He forgets about the pimples on his face. He feels ten feet tall. But Johnny started slipping a lil', his grades fell to C's. Johnny's parents sent him to counselor. Johnny couldn't tell the man about the oxycontin' so the counselor put him on adderol. Now Johnny takes his pills in the morning to get to his pills at night. Johnny's Mama Linda found those aderols. She found they could feel all the holes deep in her soul. Her husband no longer seemed so boring. Her daughter no longer seemed so fat. Her friends no longer seemed so judgmental or at least she didn't give a fuck. So Linda gets jittery around 11 in the morning when her stories come on, she can't sit still throughout the whole story. Come 5 she is in a daze cooking look a champion wielding her kitchen cutlery. Come ten o' clock at night, when her husband goes to touch her thigh, and she's still awake and can't take him touching her thigh. She starts to take valium. Linda is doing a lil' thing we like to call Poppin Poppin' Pills at night Poppin' pill just to feel alright Poppin' poppin' pills changin' changin' how she feels What comes through in the night Always comes through in the light The Lord said do my work The Lord said do my work Pharmaceuticals, Hallelujah! Pharmaceuticals, Hallelujah! In the suburbs, In the church, In the streets, In the home Pharmaceuticals, Hallelujah! Pharmaceuticals, Hallelujah!

All the stuff is packed now, The kids in the back seat My wife is so angry, she can't even look at me Hundred bucks in my wallet, that's all we have left it's not enough gas for the trip, and i could't be more stressed. We packed the last of the refrigerator in our lil' ice box Behind us a U-haul that holds all we've got A deed for your deeds, Your behavior's receipt A deed for your deeds, Your victory, our defeat Got family in Kentucky, my brother said we'd stay in his home He's got one extra bedroom, but we cannot stay long His wife she's expecting, He told me he's no savior He has no fishes He has no loaves, I think back on your pretty, pretty picture you painted to show me I'd be richer you never drew me A deed for your deeds, Your behavior's receipt A deed for your deeds. We've yet to see it. It's a shame, such a shame, such a shame, sad, sad shame My wife she once loved me, I don't blame her for not The days were so safe then, seems like she's forgot. All my bad investments loom within the room. The children smile and laugh, yet to inherent our gloom. Neither of us is the villain; it's hard to act WELL when you feel BAD Stressfully consumed, she's belittling me I'm screaming at her Shame to my name A deed for your deeds, Your behavior's receipt Shame to my name A deed for your deeds, we desperately need it Shame to my name A deed for your deeds, Your behavior's receipt Shame to my name A deed for your deeds, and we've yet to see it
